Well, the whole world knows who Client #9 is - and now we know who ‘Kristen’ is.
Go ahead, look, get down in the gutter a little - you know you want to.
I’ll still respect you in the morning…honest…(’Kristen’ gets bonus points for being a former Austin resident - but I guess we didn’t move in the same circles - ahem…

I think I saw client #9 at the Lubbock Hooter’s last weekend. Just kidding, of course! Pretty chic…poor career move (choice?).

Attractive young woman. For career advise she might want to consult Monica Lewinsky, Donna Rice, or one of the other ’scandal’ girls. Of course, this would be advise on what not to do… but maybe it’s too late for that?

Why are we doing this? How is this anything other than a really ugly invasion of this girl’s privacy? She’s not a public official and owes us no explanations. I honestly don’t want to know anything about her.

I understand that the bidding for her story is up to $100k at this point - save your sympathy for a real victim; she seems perfectly happy to sell her privacy to the highest bidder. With which I, btw, have absolutely no problem.

Ryan, don’t click on the link. Don’t read the story. Stay pure.
She is a prostitute, selling her body for money. She has a MySpace page. Not the poster child for privacy concerns.

I have to agree with Bob on this one.
I’m just waiting for her to appear on the Howard Stern show.
March 13th, 2008 at 9:53 am
Oh, I’m definitely keeping myself pure (on this particular matter). If she *wants* to be put out there, then that’s fine. I don’t object to her selling her own privacy if that’s her desire. But the idea that she doesn’t *deserve* privacy because she’s a prostitute is disgusting. I will have no part of that.

“If she *wants* to be put out there”
Well, if she didn’t put out, she wouldn’t be in all this trouble.

Disgusting? She is a criminal. Save your disgust for, I don’t know, Spitzer’s behavior. Save your sympathy for Spitzer’s daughters.
Want privacy, don’t be a prostitute. Or a politician.
Or am I being redundant?
March 13th, 2008 at 12:02 pm
My last comment was too harsh on the woman. While she is a criminal, she does deserve sympathy.

I am embarrassed that I voted for Spitzer.
As for criminals, Spitzer was having unsafe sex and then coming home to his wife.
You all should be embarrassed that you voted for Bush who in eight has hurt this country more than any other president. Bush has proven one idea of mine; that a president really isn’t that important the country rolls on no matter who got in there.

Easy, Ryan - I don’t think a mention in jest on Decision ‘08 is going to compromise the young lady’s privacy - that on-the-record interview she gave to the New York Times, however, probably did the trick…
March 13th, 2008 at 1:25 pm
The person in this affair for whom I have sympathy is Spitzer’s wife. She may turn out to be behaving in what she judges to be her best self-interest, and she may have known about this for a while, but, still…
March 13th, 2008 at 2:24 pm
Maybe she’ll be the next Senator from New York.
March 13th, 2008 at 2:26 pm
That would be the proven path, wouldn’t it?
March 13th, 2008 at 2:53 pm
Mark, I don’t want to pass any kind of moral judgment on you. I don’t expect people to stay away from this story just because I find it unappetizing. This is one time where I’m simply stating my own position to have it heard rather than passing any real amount of judgment on anyone else.
Bob, I’m assuming we disagree about the extent to which she *should* be a criminal. Since I don’t see anything worth criminalizing in her behavior, I stand by my position that her privacy is hers until she chooses to surrender it. As for Spitzer, the feeling I have is not disgust. I believe it’s called “glee”. Couldn’t have happened to a bigger jackass.
