Decision ‘08

Happy New Year!

And go Red Raiders…I have a number of resolutions this year, but they are all of a personal nature, as you might expect, and thus, while of intense interest to me, they would be of little moment to you.

I hope you are enjoying your day off, and if you have nothing to do for the next three hours, why not turn on the Gator Bowl and watched my Red Raiders take on the Virginia Cavaliers in Jacksonville? It’s a great day for football…get your guns up! Wreck ‘em, Tech! And all that other jazz…

UPDATE 1:49 p.m.: Yuck…horrible first half…man, this had better turn around…

UPDATE 3:56 p.m.: Well, Tech has played horribly throughout, yet miraculously, the Red Raiders have tied it up at 28 all with 3:10 to go. I’m sure most of the country is watching the amazing Michigan-Florida Capital One Bowl, but at least Tech made the Gator Bowl a game…

UPDATE 4:17 p.m.: I don’t know how it happened, but I’m sure glad it did. A most improbable turn of events leads to a I-saw-it-but-I-don’t-believe-it 31-28 victory. Congrats to Mike Leach and the Red Raiders, now 5-1 in bowl games over the last six years…
