The Race Is On

So, I Missed All Of The College Football This Saturday…

…on my little trip, although I did get home in time to watch the second half of my Red Raiders, who are well in control over SMU 42-9 with 10 minutes to go in the 4th. So, Texas was unimpressive, Oklahoma rolled, and…Appalachian State beat #5 Michigan 34-32 at the Big House.

WHAAAAAA….?

Jeez, you miss one Saturday and see what you get?

Hope you all had a great Labor Day weekend…

For the love of Mike, let’s never talk about this again.

    Yup,

Michiganders from all walks of life, Wolverines of every stripe, were stopped cold by that game…..

Just goes to show you what gumption and determination can do to complacency and attitude.

    Respects,

Ryan, you have my deepest sympathies - but hey, from what I’ve read, Appalachian is a pretty darn good football team, so this ‘biggest upset ever’ stuff is overblown…

Mark: It’s still bad. Awful bad. My one remaining hope is that this disappointment (and perhaps a few more? ACK) will finally convince Bill Martin and the administration that Michigan (and the Big Ten in general) can’t keep playing stodgy 1950s football. We are quite simply outclassed by the Pac-10 and the SEC, and it’s time to own that.
