…but I like it, like it, yes I do!
Pardon the non-political interruption, but long-time readers may remember my excitement at learning, during last October’s now-legendary (hell, it was legendary even before the sun rose the next morning) Rolling Stones show at Zilker Park here in Austin, that we had been filmed for the DVD. Now, at last, that glorious day is upon us: on June 12th, Best Buy will exclusively release the 4-DVD set The Biggest Bang, with the first DVD consisting of the Austin show in its entirety.
To celebrate, two amateur video clips: the first, shot by yours truly, is truly horrible quality-wise, and you’ll have to turn your sound WAAAAYYYY down because it’s all distorted, but the clip nicely captures the energy in the air that night. The second is about half of the once-in-a-lifetime thrill of Mick pulling out “Bob Wills Is Still The King” in the heart of the Lone Star State. Enjoy!…

I first saw the Stones in 1972 for the Exiles on Main Street tour. Stevie Wonder was the opening act. 35 years later, it’s nice to know that the world’s Greatest Rock and Roll Band has outlasted nearly everyone else and is still doing what they do best.

Yes, that tour has some well-known bootlegs out there…
