A Bleg For An Old Friend

Since you read Decision ‘08, you’re undoubtedly all fabulously rich and devastatingly good looking, so you’ll be in a position to help our old friend Academic Elephant. Even if you’re not (rich and beautiful, that is), considering giving what you can. RedState wants to send former frequent commenter (hey, we miss you!) AE, now known by her real name of Victoria Coates, to Iraq, and they need to raise funds to do so. You can find the details here, including the following:

If you will contribute $50.00, we’ll make sure you get Victoria and Jeff’s posts before everyone else — from their videos to their writings. If you contribute $100.00 or more, we’ll put you on an email list with Victoria and Jeff to correspond with them, ask questions, etc. while they are in Iraq.

This is an exciting opportunity for all of us. The military will take Victoria and Jeff around Iraq and they’ll get the word out to all of us on what’s really going on over there — no filter through the mainstream media. Victoria and Jeff will give you the unvarnished reality of what’s going on in Iraq. Jeff might even share some war stories from when he was over there fighting. Victoria is looking forward to some original commentaries on the treasures at the Baghdad Museum — you know, the ones supposedly looted that weren’t.
