The Secretary of State spoke to Fox News about Barbara Boxer’s tasteless comments Thursday:
Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice yesterday criticized Sen. Barbara Boxer’s suggestion that, because she does not have family in harm’s way, she will pay no “personal price” in the Iraq war.
“In retrospect, gee, I thought single women had come further than that, that the only question is, ‘Are you making good decisions because you have kids?’ ” Rice said on Fox News.
Of course, this is really nothing more than a variation on the ol’ chickenhawk argument so popular on the left. In any form, it’s totally fallacious…

Fallacious, condescending, puerile, foolish. Senator Boxer seems to think anyone who is not personally and directly affected by a decision they are asked to make in their capacity as a government official is, by definition, unqualified to decide.
How’s about we argue the merits of the issue and the proposed course of action. Personal traits, situations, and motivations are irrelevant to the question of whether the President’s plan to add 21,500 troops to the effort in Iraq is a good idea or not.
Just once I’d like to hear someone in the situation Secretary Rice found herself say:
“Senator, I apologize, I misuderstood. I thought my purpose in being here today was to answer the committee member’s questions about our proposed policy changes. It is now obvious that I was asked to appear so I could listen to you talk about yourself and your positions on the issues of the day. I’ll be quiet now so you can speak.”.

Regardless of what you think of what Boxer said, it’s not at all true that she accused Condi of being unfit to serve. That’s just editorializing.

This is what she said:
“Who pays the price? I’m not going to pay a personal price,” Boxer said. “My kids are too old, and my grandchild is too young.”
Then, to Rice: “You’re not going to pay a particular price, as I understand it, with an immediate family.”
What is the meaning of that if not that Secretary Rice is unfit to make these decisions because she will pay no personal price?
Let’s stipulate that you are correct: Senator Boxer was not challenging Secretary Rice’s (or her own) qualifications to make these decisions. Then I replace “condescending, puerile, foolish” with inane, gratuitous, and superficial.
Please don’t get me wrong, I think the President’s plan should be challenged. Senator Boxer’s comments do that not at all, and I find them offensive because they appear to be an ill-considered, poorly framed personal attack.

If you are a woman who chose to remain single and pursue a career you have just found out how the dhimmi party supports you. Since the insinuation is that SOS Rice is gay (and Boxer dumped on her) any gay person that continues to support the dhimmi party will get what you deserve.
The dhimmi’s have ran the biggest con in history on woman and gays. The only thing they want from you is your vote and then you can jump off a tall building. They could care less. If you need more evidence after they dumped on gay republicans during the campaign and again this week you are more retarded or maybe as retarded as they think you are and deserve the pandering treatment.
