Hold off, Nancy, you’re not speaker until all the votes are counted. On the heels of the ABC News/Washington Post poll that showed a tightening race with the generic ballot at a mere +6 Dems (after months of double-digit leads for the Donkeys) comes the Pew Research Center with a generic Democratic edge of…4 (!!!) points…
To be sure, the smart money remains on a Democratic House…but the prospect of a ‘wave’ election is rapidly disappearing…

When I started hearing about ‘all those early ballots’ cast, it seemed more like wishful thinking than sound political prognostication.

I know this is only anecdotal and doesn’t amount to much. But it makes me feel better, so maybe it will for you as well. I sent in my (Arizona) ballot last week - straight Republican of course…my two best friends, both Democrats, have told me separately that they do not plan to vote. Are the Dems actually fired up, like the MSM keeps telling us, or is it just the unions and special interest groups like always?

Well, what do you think, JB? (Hmm, those were my best friend’s initials when I was in 8th grade. Anyway…)
I haven’t yet made predictions, I might as well now. Dems +2 in the Senate, and +12 in the House, leaving both in Republican hands. Nobody ever accused me of being the smart money.
