Howard Dean’s Exciting New Plan!
Boy, oh, boy, Howard Dean is in the WSJ today, and he’s got an exciting new plan (#312 for the Democrats this electoral cycle). I can’t wait, so let’s jump in:
We need a Democratic Congress to fight the war on terror — and to end the war on America’s families…

UPDATE 09/23 12:38 a.m.: Tom Bevan does us all a tremendous favor by reading and summarizing Dean’s turgid prose…the short version? Class warfare, populist garbage, tax cuts bad, blah, blah, blah – oh, and pull out of Iraq!…

It does all sound absurdly similar to that which we’ve seen and heard before.
They are worried about Bush’s ‘failed policies in Iraq’, but they can’t even come up with one that helps them at home.
They’ve been in their own little quagmire since 9/11, using the same failed policies and achieving the same results. I’m supposed to believe they can coopt the rest of the world, when they can’t even get a majority here?
They need to give it up on taxes and express a willingness to commit to supply side economics. There is a point where cutting the rates will hvae a deleterious effect, but they need to acknowledge that they are wrong in their current mindset.
