An Exclusive Decision ’08 Preview

Frank Rich’s Book comes out September 19th, but, no doubt due to my consistent rave reviews of the man’s work, I’ve been granted an exclusive sneak preview. Here’s a rundown on the table of contents:

Chapter One: Before The Quagmire: Light and Beauty In The World Before GWB

Chapter Two: Ominous Signs Of A Quagmire: How The CIA, An Exquisitely Functioning Team Before January 2001, Became A Bunch of Hacks Who Missed Bin Laden On GWB’s Watch In Just Eight Short Months

Chapter Three: A Day Of Disaster And Quagmire: An Inside Look At 9/11/01 Through The Eyes Of My Pet Goat

Chapter Four: Into The Quagmire: How A Successful War Against Afghanistan Is Worse Than Vietnam

Chapter Five: The Intelligence Quagmire: Saddam Hussein Was Really A Pretty Decent Guy

Chapter Six: Quagmire Accomplished: My Insane Jealousy Of How GWB Filled Out That Flight Suit And What It Means For America’s Future

Wow, and that’s just the first six chapters! I can hardly wait for the rest…

Might there at least be some part where he compares Bush to a play or movie character he didn’t like?

  • I think that’s Chapter 10…

  • But it is so much fun to speculate on the coming chapters:

Chapter Seven: Democrats Leap from the Quagmire
Chapter Eight: Bravery of the Left in Talking about the Quagmire
Chapter Nine: John Kerry and the Descent into the Quagmier
Chapter Ten: Republicans rename Quagmire and thereby Steal Ohio in the Election
Chapter Eleven: Isn’t Quagmire a funny word? What would we call a quagmire if we didn’t have the word quagmire?
Chapter Twelve: How could you wirte about Quagmires if you didn’t have the letter Q
Chapter Thirteen: Rumsfled and Cheney anagrams that end in Quagmire
Chapter Fourteen: Life is like a Quagmire Party
