Is there anything a dog can’t do? The question is, of course, rhetorical, as this story about dogs and calculus shows. Many observers of the canine world will tell you that beagles aren’t very intelligent, but don’t you believe it!
For proof, I direct you to this well-written passage:
Beagles are intelligent, quick dogs, but bore easily. Known for being intuitive problem solvers, it can be difficult to keep a beagle’s attention. For this reason, the beagle can be bit more challenging to train than other breeds, and has a difficult time filling his time when left alone for extended periods.
I prefer to fill my own time by comparing multiple translations of Dostoyevsky and chewing on plush squeaky toys…and you can’t get more intelligent than that…
