I find this unaccountably amusing:
That’s it. Four fundraising emails in the last three days from the Hillary operation and that was it. I could unsubscribe, sure, but it’s easier to add her address info@hillaryclinton.com to my spam filter.
She’s got some stupid “contest” between the “Paul Begalla Team” and the “James Carville Team”. And the emails are full of alarmist crap…
If she wants to fundraise for 2008, all the power to her. But she could be honest about it. Pretending to raise this money for a non-existent Senate contest is simply obnoxious.
A rare point of agreement between Markos and myself…

Well, the knock against her has always been that she’s tone-deaf…

Comrades,
I can see Hillary talking to her advisors about that “internet thing” and asking how she can get all the “little people” to send her money.
The woman is clueless about how the other 99% of the country get by. She, like so many others of her station still don’t get it. People voted for Bush because he’s one of the people. Hillary own a baseball cap. W owned a baseball team. Hillary has oil stock. Bush Worked in the oil fields and owned an oil company.
Hillary has barely worked for anything at all, and it shows. She’s a wax model with a plastic smile and a patronizing attitude, and it’s on 24/7.
Maybe she COULD win the presidency, but I can’t yet see it. Her biggest problem will come when she actually has to debate someone, and then the camera will frame the debate.
Respects,
Gwedd

Go Hillary go!
I saw yet another article today (Seattle Times?) about how Democrats are secretly loathing a Hillary candidacy since 51% of Americans in a poll said they would “definitely not” vote for her.
It’s been said that John Kerry failed to pass the “living room” test. That is, ultimately voters have to decide whether they want this guy on the TV every night. Kerry had that Dukakis charm while Bush, with all his faults, was likable.
Hillary, most decidedly, is not.

Kerry always came across as someone who wanted the presidency so much he was even willing to lower himself to our level (I.E., his fake duck shooting trip or the Vietnam veteran/Cambodian adventurer thingie), while President Bush came across as a regular guy in a hard position (his public speaking style is as bad as mine).
Hilary’s problem is that she seems to be from the John Kerry school of politicans, (I.E., Can anyone imagine her as their next door neighbor?). At her best, she seems only to be lecturing us on how to turn the U.S. into a nation worthy enough for her to lead.
