No doubt by now you’ve noted the whimper with which l’affaire Cheney has extinguished, as Harry Whittington was released from the hostpital after going on the record as the 4th person to say alcohol was not involved in the hunting accident, and apologized for all the fuss, decent fellow that he is…
A lot of people who predicted some sort of seismic aftershocks from this story are going to be looking very foolish by this time next week, I suspect.
On a related note, kudos to CBS News for recognizing quality commentary when they see it…

If you haven’t already, read the transcript of Hugh Hewitt’s interview with Lawrence O’Donnell. Very entertaining and a disturbing look into the workings of O’Donnell’s mind.
As for the CBS piece: nice mention, top of the fold, as they say, too!

Well, above the fold, on page 2, that is…
I actually linked to the Hewitt / O’Donnell exchange…you’re right, very entertaining…

The real mystery with Hewitt is how he gets these people to come on his show. They must not ever listen or read the transcripts. Well, the truly pathetic part of this is that O’Donnell never conceived that anyone might ask who these dozen lawyers he spoke with might be. Obviously they exist only in his mind lending a weight of authority to his bilious speculations without which they would blow away with the first breeze. O’Donnell, established nutcase that he is, is the canary in the coalmine for the MSM. He leads the pack in his frustration-born mendacity. How he thought he would get through 40 minutes with Hewitt is a testament to his unfounded opinions, either of his own intellect or ours. Probably Hugh’s.

Mark, you are getting world famous. Remember all us little people as you advance in your writings. Way to go!

Oh, believe me, I’m one of the little people…the very, very little people…

Megapotamus: Hewitt is able to get these people on his show because they believe they are smarter and more clever than he is.

My Liberal Translation of Whttington’s Speech
Hmmph. Hello, losers.
