Fish in a Barrel Time: The Kossacks React

Here we go: The Top Five (Plus a Surprise At the Bottom) Kos Kidz Reactions to the Failure of the Alito Filibuster

Number Five: …[T]he NSA recorders are working overtime today!

Think of the harvest for the Bushite scum- thousands of Bush opponents calling and he can trace all those numbers!

Number Four: I’m Movin to Canada, Adios…

Canada elected a minority Conservative government last week, but not a NeoCon ReligioFascist Fantasyland government.

Number Three: There is institutionalised cowardice at the top of the party and it is now wholly and evidently enabling and supporting a fascist stae[sic].

THIS is how it happened in Nazi Germany, Its over.

The Number of the Beast 72-25

Number Two (this is a goodie): What do we do? How about taking a page from Ariel Sharon’s book and starting our OWN party….maybe we can recruit Howard Dean to be our leader.

Clearly Dean is like a salmon swimming upstream with the likes of the corporate-owned DLC running smear campaigns against his efforts as DNC chair….maybe he’s just as sick of it…?

I don’t know about you, but I’m crying in my beer right now….and I would love nothing more than to have a leader who listens to me. If Dean took the courageous step to start a legitimate 3rd party, I’d be there in a heartbeat…and I’d go pert-near bankrupt supporting him.

Fu** the DLC and these DINOs. I’m tired of it. And I’m heartbroken. I worked so hard, and got so many friends and family to take a leap of faith and do what I’d asked, only to be SH*T on. Now all I’m getting from all of them is “Well, I told you so…”

I HAVE 2 DAUGHTERS UNDER 5 YEARS OLD. WHAT WILL BECOME OF THEIR FUTURE NOW???????

The number one reaction, without a shadow of a doubt, is the post that hosted these comments, a hilarious bit of angry, angry (did I mention angry?) nonsense by Mary Scott OConner that is breathtaking in its vulgarity and its out-of-control overreaction. From the non-printable title (definitely not work-safe) to the listing of the ‘Vichy Democrats’, it’s a masterpiece of Progressive Nonsense that is hereby enshrined in the Hall of Fame! Congrats, Mary!…

And now, here’s the surprise, as fellow Kos Kid Cristin strikes a blow for sanity:

Stop with the hysteria already.

Anytime a battle is lost, you post this YOU ARE DEAD TO ME RANT that’s un-readable. Two ??? weeks ago you wrote a rant about how the party was dead to you then to and how how much they sucked blah blah blah something along those lines. Leave it already since you made it clear how much you despise them. And stop with the screaming profanity laced incoherent…. screams – over and over and over again.

And no. I don’t care about profanity. But jesus christ, at least attempt to make sense if you are going to delete the contents of a diary that made the REC list based on calling a Senator and replacing it with something completely different such as this.

Don’t start screaming again about your grief either and how I don’t get it or none of us do who find your diaries lacking in substance. You’re not the only one who’s reeling and was kicked in the gut.

Ahh, Christin…you probably wouldn’t cross the street to spit on me, since I’m a Rethuglican, but you’re after my heart nonetheless…

UPDATE 7:34 p.m. Many thanks to Hugh Hewitt for the link! And a tip of the hat to Prof. Bainbridge, Dr. Shackleford, and that lovely Bachyderm Beth (that’s a Bama Pachyderm to you), as well…

The Decision ‘08 blog lists a number of reactions to the Alito cloture vote culled from Daily Kos (it’s scary to think that some of those folks likely will be mid-level political appointees in the next Democratic administration; at the

Blah, blah, moving to Canada. Go already. Just be sure that your ready for the trip. None of us are interested in hearing how miserable you are up there. (except in having joy in your pain.)

Before you move to Canada: Update II

    Go North young Liberal!

LOL Those peple are definitely pathetic and maybe seem a little on the dim side. They assume ‘leaders’ might/should listen to them? I feel sorry for their families, surely they are an embarassment.

    Moving to Canada…

Promises, promises, all I ever get from these people is promises…

  • I bounce over to Kos or the HuffnPuff once a week just to hear what the aunts in the addict are upset about. Those are near the top as Democratic gathering spots – at least that is what I have read – so far out to the left you need binoculars to see.

It is truly a service to show us those writings/reactions. For one thing, it helps me appreciate the civility and responsibility, not to mention maturity (oh, wait, I did mention it), of Peter, Fargus, and Jacques (among others). We may disagree, but we are having a reasoned argument, not just braying a the moon.

    Hey, not so fast.
We have enough leftie nutjobs here already, without importing more!
Leftie’s have ruled our country for more than 80% of the last 150 years. We need some time to get straightened out.

  • These people need to get a life. Let’s look at this realistically–Sandra Day O’Connor was a (largely) conservative justice nominated by Ronald Reagan. George W. Bush won an election in 2006, and he is a conservative. He was therefore entitled to select the next judge to be nominated to the Supreme Court, and he chose, surprise surprise, a conservative in Samuel Alito. Alito, like O’Connor, is a highly-qualified jurist with a lily-white personal life. Meanwhile, enough Republicans won Senate seats that his confirmation was pretty much a foregone conclusion, given that he is qualified and not a serial murderer. And so…a conservative justice will replace a conservative justice, as anyone could have predicted this time last year. Yet they’re moving to Canada over this? I agree with the Steves–the liberals I know from my blog and from here are reasonable people who engage in discussion–this is madness.

Mark, thanks for doing this noisome service. We definitely need to keep our eyes on these folks but we definitely need to empty the chamberpots as well. Good to have someone reliable to do it. The Canadian Exodus is truly a masterpiece of epic comedy… and that was before the late elections. Although not VERY conservative by American standards the simple fact of their name is a scabies larva under the skin of those few, those happy few threateners who actually pulled up their cash crops and decamped. Ouch and Double Ouch.

  • Improbulus Maximus

Some days, life is really, really good.

  • Moving to Canada? Again? Idle threats. And the epitome of conceit to think that Canada even wants them.

  • Moonbats React To Alito Confirmation

I said yesterday: “Poor, poor lefties.” The pity party was underway yesterday, but that’s nothing compared to how they’re reacting today.

From Kos, a couple of “yeah, we lost, BUT….” type of posts:

CHEERS to fighting the good fight. C&J…
