One Leg Of Dem’s Alito Attack Is Taken Out

Among the talking points Democrats intend to smear Samuel Alito with is the allegation that he is sexist and racist because he belonged to a student organization at Princeton that opposed affirmative action. I hope no one reading this is as stupid as the Democrats think you are, and assumes that opposition to affirmative action is de facto evidence of racism and sexism.

I strongly believe that though such policies usually come from the best of intentions, they foster resentment rather than harmony and are in fact directly opposed to Martin Luther King’s dream of a colorblind society, where children are ‘judged by the content of their character’. Nevertheless, the accusation is in play, and to further it, the Democrats intended to call Stephen R. Dujack, the editor of The Environmental Forum magazine to testify about the Princton group.

No longer; Dujack has been removed from the witness list, perhaps because of his extreme stance on animal rights:

A spokesman for Texas Republican Sen. John Cornyn, a committee member, said he had been notified of the list change shortly before 7 p.m. EST. Earlier on Friday, Cornyn’s office circulated a 2003 Los Angeles Times editorial in which Dujack compared animals killed for food to victims of the Holocaust. Whether the editorial factored into the decision to drop Dujack from the witness list was not clear.

A shame; I do hope the Democrats find a substitute, because I look forward to the spectacle of watching them attempt to paint Alito as a racist without ever managing to say so. No doubt this would be accompanied by much throat-clearing and airing of ‘concerns’ about Alito’s commitment to diversity. There is no depth to which Teddy Kennedy will not sink (all right, I know, bad analogy when Kennedy is the subject)…

  • PETA Freak Stephen Dujack Off Democrat’s Witness List

Friday we mentioned the low life plan of the democrats to smear Alito as a racist because of a group he was a member of back in his college days. Well, now according to Fox News it looks as if their star witness has been scratched from the playbook.

  • I wonder if people will still be making Chappaquiddick references in the 22nd Century.

  • This is just crazy–why don’t the Democrats do themselves a favor and throw in the towel on this one?

I, for one, have a supply of “Judge Alito’s Bold Justice Blend” coffee laid in and am looking forward to tomorrow.

If only the Smiting God of Hypocrisy would attend to his duty, we wouldn’t have to make references to Chappaquiddick.

  • Say, what did happen to Ted Kennedy for that little indiscretion, anyway? Oh, right, he become Senator for life…

…and ran for President once, until that ugly little problem reared it’s head and pushed him out of the race.

Funniest scene in Kennedy’s life – sitting on the committee during the Clarence Thomas hearings, Mr. Punch – Drunk sat absolutely mute during the entire proceedings.
