Talk about your mixed emotions – how great is it that Iraqis feel free to protest in the streets? Yet at the same time, how nice it would be if they didn’t feel the need…

Mohammed of Iraq the Model has the latest on the Iraqi election dispute; there are some grim aspects, to be sure, but there is also a glimmer of hope:

So far, the rival parties are using dialogue and peaceful demonstration and no one has resorted to violence and this is a positive sign that makes us think we still have the chance to resolve the dispute through negotiations.

Let’s hope so…
