Time To Let The Cat Out of the Bag
I’ve been hinting around at something big on the horizon, and I think it’s about time to spill the beans. You may or may not have heard of ‘Pajamas Media’, the venture (soon to change its name to something a little more professional) of Roger Simon and Charles Johnson of Little Green Footballs fame.
I’ve been invited to be an Associate Contributor, and I’ve accepted. Yes, I will get paid…we’re not talking huge $$$, but a fair price for my traffic level. No, I won’t have to change a word or submit to any editorial control. What I will do is give up my ad space soon to ads delivered by the group, and in exchange, I’ll be profiled and linked on the portal, and hopefully have my posts highlighted from time to time.
If none of this makes any sense, I invite you to check out these two links for more information. This page has profiles of several contributors and board members. The editorial board is indeed a stellar lineup, including
Michael Barone
Austin Bay
Tim Blair
Tammy Bruce
Marc Cooper
David Corn
Richard Fernandez
Jose Guardia
Jane Hall
Larry Kudlow
Michael Ledeen
Clifford May
John Podhoretz
Claudia Rosett
I’m proud to be associated with such a great group, and I feel fortunate to have this opportunity…my understanding is there will be about 70 blogs in the venture initially.
I had considered waiting until my own profile was up, but this Wednesday a huge gala is taking place in New York at the fancy W Hotel on Lexington to unveil the venture officially, including the new name (and a talk by none other than Judy Miller). I was invited, as a Contributor, but will not be able to attend. However, I intend to watch the events closely through my virtual eyes and ears, as I know it will be blogged heavily.
I thank you for your continued support, and I hope this blog keeps improving as time goes by. I’m dedicated to it, and I hope it shows…
More news as events warrant…

Hey–look at you–good show!!
Congratulations!
Congrats! Remember us little people when you’re strolling down the street wearing a top hat, spats and diamond stick pin.
Thanks, I’m excited…I’m afraid I’m still one of the little people, and will be for quite some time, but it’s a start…I’m anxious to see how the whole thing works out…
You’ve changed, man… it used to be about the music! Now you’re just part of the SYSTEM like the rest of them.
Congratulations, just make sure to run your contract by one of them law people with them fancy-shmancy book-learnin’, just to make sure you’re not handing over copyright or every second toe.
Jojo – hilarious! Thanks…
Congrats, Mark – looking forward to it!
Congratulations Mark! A good idea (Pajamas Media), that was off to a good start, just got better.
Very good work.
You are in excellent company. I could only dream of calling that collection of conservatives my editors.
Thank you, thank you, one and all…I’m hoping one of the side benefits is it will force me to focus and improve my own work…but of course, you’ll be the judge of that. I appreciate the support…
Congratulations Mark. That is excellent company to be in with. Hopefully you won’t forget about us ‘little folks’ when you get famous!
Cheers, AJStrata
AJ, I appreciate it…but I’m still very much a small fry, though the opportunity is nice…
Hey, congratulations, Mark. That really is an outstanding group to be part of. I guess this means you’re finally becoming one of those fat cat Republicans, just as we all hope to do some day.
Congrats to you… though I for one am not nearly as happy with PJ Media.
i agree with Jojo.

mark prostituting himself in front of the alter of $$$.
i knew you when…..before you went MSM.
Mark, Congratulations!
Congratulations! You deserve it.
Congratulations and good luck, Mark.
[...] Yesterday, I unveiled my own participation in Pajamas Media, and promised to keep you up to date on developments. I by no means have any obligation to hype or otherwise praise the group or its participants, nor they me, so let me say that I am truly sympathetic to the plight of bloggers such as Nicholas Schweitzer, who wanted to participate but were left out. You can read about Nick’s mostly negative experience here. Dennis the Peasant is postively livid about the whole thing, and his account is here. [...]
Thanks again…Nick, I was fairly certain that some people got left out…I’m sorry to hear it and I’m linking to your account…
