Wow, there is a lot more good stuff out there on this nomination than with Roberts - it seems Roberts was so good, people couldn’t really get too fired up on either side, a sentiment echoed in the latest installment of The Hotline’s Blogometer (worth reading daily, if you aren’t already - a very good summary of the latest blogging, both right and left):
This a.m. debate in the blogosphere seems almost the opposite of the CJ John Roberts nod. Roberts proved popular (or benign) enough that his confirmation was often overshadowed by the day’s latest events. At least for now, Miers is proving controversial enough that other stories aren’t breaking through.
