The Race Is On

Harry Shearer Needs a Calendar

From the absolutely wonderfully impartial Huffington Post, we have this from Harry Shearer:

…[H]ere comes NBC News, adding to the LSU Hurricane Center’s conclusions about the defectiveness of the 17th St. Canal floodwall’s design and/or construction. Lisa Myers and the network’s investigative unit–yes, they still have one–unearthed court papers from Pittman Construction, the now-out-of-business firm that built the floodwall in the 90s, allegedly alerting the Army Corps of Engineers to the weakness of the soil and foundation for the floodwall.

The Corps issues a bland statement assuring us that this will be part of their investigation. They’ll be investigating whether they reacted properly to the news that they accepted a floodwall the construction company warned them was not properly built? Fox, you take the henouse[sic] duty for a while, I’m tired.

Let’s see, the assertion was contained in court documents filed in 1998. Hmm..1998, who was President then? Let’s see…but it had to have been Bush, the chimp-like imposter! Hmmm…ummm….so, 1998, eh? Well, I suppose that report could have been routed to then-Governor Bush…yes, that’s it! Ahh, so nice to know it’s all Bush’s fault again…
