Our fearless head RINO the Commissar has suggested a new concept called the Watering Hole, an occasional feature where our intrepid band of ne’er-do-wells might gather around a common concept and pontificate in that way that only RINOs can.
I’m gonna take the lead, and though I won’t be linking to one of my own posts every time, or even often (this is not about me, dammit!), I did want to put up a post this time to explain the concept a little. Most of the time, I’ll just send an e-mail out to the RINO group.
What better way to start, then, than with Katrina, and what better place than Louisiana Libertarian? We all got a kick of General Honore’s ’stuck on stupid’ comment to the reporter yesterday, but what do you really think about the Katrina response? Is Nagin a fool? Is Bush in control? Did he blow it initially? Are you upset about the cost of the proposed rebuilding campaign and wondering how we’re gonna pay for it and wage a war without cutting spending or taxes? Do you have personal anecdotes to contribute? The possibilities are as large as the noses on our RINO faces. Why not drop by and let us all know what you think about Katrina and its aftermath…
And I suggest you end each Watering Hole submission like this, and don’t forget to trackback, if available:
Submitted to today’s watering hole…

Well, I’ll wade into the waters–I’m working on a post connecting John Kerry’s speech to Brown University on Katrina to Sideshow Bob Terwilliger on the Simpsons–it’s easier than you might think–and what’s strking to me is how charicature-ish the Democratic response to the disaster has been. Sure, you can fault the Republicans, but at least they’re doing something.
