Flight 93 Memorial Will Be Altered, Says Architect

Though you have to question his sincerity, given that he accuses his critics of ’simplistic distortion’, the architect of the ‘Crescent of Embrace’ will work with said critics to alter the design. That’s really all I needed to hear; I don’t doubt that the design was never meant to pay homage to Islam; my beef all along has been that it’s just not appropriate. I will freely admit that the original design was quite lovely, and I share the architect’s hope that something similar and in the same spirit can be achieved…
