The Race Is On

Sheehan Again Compares the Right To Nazis, Says Bush Caused Katrina

You know, I’m really sorry about what happened to Casey Sheehan, and I honor his memory, but his mother is beneath contempt. Here’s the latest statement from Cindy Sheehan (hat tip to Hugh Hewitt):

Well, George and I are leaving Crawford today. George is finished playing golf and telling his fables in San Diego , so he will be heading to Louisiana to see the devastation that his environmental policies and his killing policies have caused. Recovery would be easier and much quicker if almost ½ of the three states involved National Guard were not in Iraq. All of the National Guard’s equipment is in Iraq also. Plus, with the 2 billion dollars a week that the private contractors are siphoning from our treasury, how are we going to pay for helping our own citizens in Louisiana , Mississippi, and Alabama? And, should I dare say “global warming?” and be branded as a “conspiracy theorist” on top of everything else the reich-wingers say about me.

“Reich-wingers”, “the devestation Bush’s killing policies have caused”…Casey Sheehan deserves more than to be remembered as the son of his idiot mom. Cindy, can it…you have all the maturity of a three-year-old…get on with your life, and for God’s sake, get out of the public eye…and any Democrat who ever quotes Sheehan as a figure of moral authority needs to adjust their attitude, as well…infuriating is the word.

    She is ridiculous!

  2. 2 Nettie Says:

And here we were getting excited that Cindy Sheehan was finally off the news. Shouldn’t have hoped for that.

  3. 3 Mark Says:

Well, she’s gonna fade away now some, I bet…

  4. 4 AJStrata Says:

You will enjoy this much more honest, and ‘un-packaged’ set of responses from Parents about the war in Iraq

Breath of fresh air after Sheehan.

  5. 5 Clint Says:

Does anyone have the schedule of her scheduled “bus tour” from Crawford to D.C.?

By my reckoning, New Orleans and the rest of the flooded regions are along the way. Perhaps she’ll try to make it to wherever the President is visiting and comforting, so she can scream for the cameras…

Will someone please stuff a sock in this woman’s mouth and seal it with duct tape?

  7. 7 Larry Bernard Says:

This is the face of the democratic party

  8. 8 The Strata-Sphere » Blog Archive » Katrina’ Imprint On America Says:

[…] Or George Bush’s fault either. The month long honeymoon between the media (which I will not pick on for a while because of their courage and efforts to report this storm from the belly of the beast), the democrats and Cindy Sheehan has proven to be a disaster for the left. We will not forget who aligned themselves all summer with Sheehan because we cannot forget what Cindy said during this national tragedy. Well, George and I are leaving Crawford today. George is finished playing golf and telling his fables in San Diego , so he will be heading to Louisiana to see the devastation that his environmental policies and his killing policies have caused. […]

    Proving yourself a fool

something about opening your mouth and removing all doubt

Over on Decision 08 (trackback to be coming later…) we get to see this spokesman for the american left show herself to be an utter fool

  10. 10 Solid Blue Says:

The anger over the lack of leadership in the Gulf region is now dove-tailing with the anti-war movement. The local peace group here in South Carolina is seeing a huge increse in people signing up for bus trips to Washington for the massive Peace Rally on September 24th.

Say what you like, but if you righties don’t distance yourselves from the neo-cons, your party will be toast.

  11. 11 Mark Says:

Sold Blue, I submit to you that if you lefties don’t start contributing to the debate reasonably and rationally, and divorce yourselves from the types who spout words like neocon as barely disguised references to Jews, than you are not only toast, but morally reprehensible…and no, I’m not calling you anti-Semitic, but rather your hero, Ms. Sheehan…
